Chairs For Charity: Day 3
Roughed in Catrina in the middle fiddle- ish back of the chair and added paint to the underside of the chair. (Somewhere along the line I decided that shadows were baby blue so…)

If you are not familiar with the Mexican tradition of Catrinas (Sometimes spelled Katrinas), you might be interested in reading this great article about José Guadalupe Posada, a 19th c. Mexican graphic artist. La Catrina is one of the most recognizable of his work, seen everywhere during the Day of The Dead Festival.
Posada’s La Catrina:

I am looking for a haughtier Catrina since she is the soloist of my Mariachi Di Funto. (Keep in mind this is only the underpainting…)

Hi!
This is Candace Campanelli and I work with Jola, putting on the Furniture, Arts & Decor Expo! I create the art chair pages and I am needing your first and last name for the page. I also need a finished photo of your chair whenever you get to that point. We do a before picture, progress photos, and an after shot on the page. We would also like a 30 word bio on you, a 50 (or less) word description of the chair, and your name and any links/titles you would like under your name. Thanks!!
